Type approval, verification and calibration

An entry in a foreign register does not automatically establish eligibility for use in Kazakhstan. We check measurement function, application, accuracy, variant and Kazakhstan register information before determining the route.

Type approval concerns a type of measuring instrument; verification confirms a particular instrument’s compliance with specified metrological requirements. Calibration determines measurement characteristics and does not replace mandatory verification where required.

Manufacturer, model, variant, ranges, accuracy, use, manual and existing metrological records.

Does each shipment require a new type approval?

First check the existing register entry and whether it covers the variant. A new shipment alone does not determine the need for another approval.
